Following the success of its first and second editions, the Pan Pacific Hanoi Art Award 2026 (Season 3) officially launches this year with the painting and craft creation competition “Horizons of Tomorrow”. The Award honors young Vietnamese artists and artists with disabilities who demonstrate creativity through innovative and sustainable art practices. It aims to encourage emerging talents to pursue their passion and advance their artistic careers.
Organized by Pan Pacific Hanoi in collaboration with the Vietnam University of Fine Arts (VUFA), the Award recognizes outstanding young artists for their creative and sustainable approaches, while helping bring their artworks closer to the public. Beyond nurturing new talents, the Award also serves as a source of encouragement and empathy for artists with disabilities, reaffirming the organizers’ commitment to supporting their development.
Building on the success of the 2024 debut edition “Inspiring Tradition” (celebrating cultural roots and heritage) and the 2025 edition “What a Wonderful World” (reflecting on the present world and its challenges), the 2026 competition marks the third chapter in this journey — toward the future, dreams, and infinite possibilities.
Recently, at Pan Pacific Hanoi, the organizing committee officially launched the 2026 competition “Horizons of Tomorrow”. This year’s theme invites artists to freely imagine tomorrow — through their dreams, hopes, and visions. The open-ended concept allows participants to tell their own stories of the future: from personal aspirations to collective transformations, from advancements in technology and society to reimagined connections between humanity and nature.
In addition to the main painting competition, the 2026 edition introduces a Special Recognition Award for Craftworks, dedicated to artists with disabilities and those trained at vocational centers or social cooperatives. Entries must express the theme “Horizons of Tomorrow” while combining artistic creativity with practical functionality, showcasing the diversity and skill of disabled artists.
At the same time, the competition also seeks to spark optimism, connection, and new possibilities, allowing stories about tomorrow to become a source of inspiration and encouragement for the broader community.
The Competition is divided into three categories:
- Category 1: Emerging Artists aged 18–30 who have completed or are pursuing formal art education in Vietnam.
- Category 2: Artists with disabilities of all ages, regardless of training background.
- Category 3: Young Artists under 18 (students or aspiring talents, with parental/guardian consent).
Pan Pacific Hanoi Art Award 2026 has assembled a judging panel composed Heads/Vice-Deans from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, Hanoi Architectural University, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, and an art council from Singapore.
As per the regulations, each participant is allowed to submit a maximum of one artwork. Shortlisted entries will be contacted by the organizing committee for instructions on sending their artworks to the designated location. Subsequently, the art council will directly view the exhibited artworks to determine the awards.
