Digital travel platform Agoda has revealed that travel interest among local travelers to Hanoi has increased by 370% year-on-year for the upcoming 80th National Day anniversary (A80), as both domestic and international travelers flock to the capital to take part in the historic celebrations.
In addition to rising interest from domestic travelers, Agoda data reveals that searches for Hanoi by international travelers also rose 84% during the same period, highlighting global interest in the festivities that surround the weekend’s pageantry as well as the capital’s growing global profile. This increase in international interest reflects Hanoi’s rising position as a must-visit cultural hub in Southeast Asia.
The rise in travel interest among both domestic and international travelers underscores Hanoi’s appeal as a cultural and historical destination, with travelers eager to experience the parade, performances, and commemorative activities that will highlight Vietnam’s journey over the past eight decades.
To help visitors make the most of the celebrations, Agoda recommends booking accommodations near some of the best viewing locations for the September 2 parade:
- Hung Vuong – Nguyen Thai Học – Hang Chao intersection: A spacious area where parade routes split, offering wide visibility.
