Mr. Staris brings a distinguished career of over 38 years in international hospitality leadership, including nine years with Marriott International across the Middle East, to his new role in Vietnam.
Mr. Staris is poised to lead the resort into an exciting new chapter, leveraging his profound operational expertise and a strong passion for excellence. Prior to his move to Nha Trang, he served as the General Manager of W Muscat, where his leadership earned prestigious accolades, including “Best Lifestyle Luxury Hotel” and “Best Luxury Spa” at the World Luxury Awards 2024. He also held a key leadership role as Executive Assistant Manager at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, further strengthening his extensive background in luxury resort operations and brand enhancement.
Armed with a solid educational foundation in business management, specialized certifications in Marketing and PR/Media, and the rigorous expertise of a Six Sigma Black Belt, Mr. Staris is uniquely equipped to drive holistic excellence. His proficiency in operational innovation will be instrumental in enhancing process efficiency across the resort, directly leading to a consistently refined and superior guest experience. His arrival marks a significant step in reinforcing the resort’s position as a premier family destination on Hon Tre Island.
