Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has introduced six new mooncake flavors ahead of Mid-Autumn Festival 2022 with a French touch to several of them.
The French hints are a nod to the recent reopening of the hotel’s celebrated French fine dining restaurant Le Beaulieu following an extensive seven-month refurbishment.
The preservative-free, hand-baked mooncakes are produced using authentic recipes, infused with the Metropole’s gourmet touch, and inspired by authentic Parisian savoir-faire and the classical and the modern at Le Beaulieu. A symbol of reunion and happiness, Metropole Hanoi’s legendary mooncakes also pay homage to the storied hotel’s 120-year history.
Crafted by Metropole Hanoi’s culinary team, this year’s mooncakes come in six unique flavors: Traditional Mix; Black Sesame and Coconut; Lotus and Mixed Dried Fruit; Green Bean, Apricot and Salted Egg; Blueberry and Roasted Almond; and Candied Orange and Grand-Marnier.
The mooncakes are available in four elegant box options this year: a four-piece box (each piece is 250g) or six-piece box (each piece is 100g), both priced at VND 2,150,000 net. A six-piece VIP box (each piece is 100g) with a bottle of F. Thienpont Bordeaux Causse Rouge 2016 is priced at VND 4,880,000 net. And a six-piece VIP lacquer box (each piece is 100g) with Emperor lotus tea and Earl Grey Yin Zhen tea is priced at VND 6,480,000 net.
The hotel is also offering special promotions for orders placed before August 25. Orders of 30 boxes or more receive 20% off (Accor Plus/ALL members receive an extra 5% off). Orders of 10 boxes or more receive 15% off (Accor Plus/ALL members receive an extra 5% off). Accor Plus/ALL members receive 10% off orders of fewer than 10 boxes (at least two of the same box).
Orders placed from August 25 onwards are entitled to the following promotions. Orders of 30 boxes or more receive 10% off (Accor Plus/ALL members receive an extra 5% off). The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated annually on the 15th day of the 8th month in the East Asian lunar calendar, is a time for families to come together to enjoy delicious teas and mooncakes, while giving thanks and praying for good fortune in the year ahead. Known as Tet Trung Thu in Vietnam, the festival traditionally signifies the end of the harvest season.
