Alma, a 30-hectare beachfront resort with 14 dining outlets and a cascade of 12 swimming pools, has been recognized as the leading luxury family resort in Vietnam by this year’s Luxury Lifestyle Awards.
Based in New York City, the global awards are in their 13th year and assess more than 10,000 luxury goods and services in 400 categories from 60 countries.
After undergoing a selection process by the award’s organizing committee based on selection criteria including reputation, credibility, brand awareness, luxury experience offered, personalization and uniqueness, Alma has been deemed the winner of the Best Luxury Family Resort in Vietnam category.
The organising committee applauded the resort for its “professional performance”.
“After a thorough research process, Alma Resort has been distinguished as one of the best in this market,” the organising committee said.
Alma’s managing director Herbert Laubichler-Pichler said his team was thrilled that the independently owned and operated resort has been applauded on the world stage for its awe-inspiring array of family-orientated attractions and services.
“With facilities ranging from our 6000sqm water park with a lazy river, water slides, wave pool and kid’s pool, to our science museum, cinema, youth club, kids club, 18-hole putting green and more, there isn’t a better place for families to holiday in Vietnam and this award attests to that,” said Laubichler-Pichler. “Despite all of the challenges COVID-19 has wreaked upon the tourism industry, we’ve been so fortunate to experience strong demand for multi-generational travel, welcoming families of up to four generations, since our debut in December 2019.”
Last month Alma clinched a coveted spot in Luxury Travel Advisor’s ‘Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World’ competition. The resort voted as the winner of the Asia and Indian Ocean bracket, placing it in the poll’s top four resorts worldwide.
