Recently, Meliá Hanoi has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Santiago Cabre as a new General Manager.
With an impressive 32-year tenure with luxury hotels and resorts in Europe, Mr. Santiago Cabre, from Spain, brings a wealth of extensive knowledge and global experience to Meliá Hanoi. He began his journey with NH Hotel Group and was then appointed to the position of General Manager of Almenara Golf Hotel & Spa and Hesperia Hotel Group. In 2007, he made the move to Meliá Hotels International as General Manager of Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá. Taking over the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque Resort *****GL in 2008 – during the global economic crisis, Mr. Santiago Cabre together with the new management team had successfull rebranded the property, increased service quality, led the hotel to win prestigious international awards and earned Michelin star for the restaurants.
After 24 years in Europe, Mr. Santiago Cabre had another milestone in his career when he moved to China – considered the most dynamic market in Asia – with the position of General Director of Wanda Reign Wuhan 7* from 05/2017 and then Intercontinental Tianjin Yujiapu Hotel & Residences.
Appointed as a new General Manager of Meliá Hanoi – the first hotel of Meliá Hotels International in Vietnam, Mr. Santiago Cabre is expected to bring the hotel to the forefront of Vietnam’s luxury hospitality scene and drive towards a new era of success.
2023 marks a milestone for Meliá Hanoi – the leading 5-star hotel in the city centre with a complete renovation, elevating the service experience in Hanoi, beginning with the renovation of one of the largest ballroom in Hanoi and the launch of Garbo Bar, Mosaico Restaurant, and the up-coming CHAM Restaurant.
