Vietnam Amateur Series competing for the T99 Cup, including: Vietnam Amateur Open, Vietnam Ladies Amateur Open, and Vietnam Junior Open will take place at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong in July.
In this July, at the Marsh Course of VinPearl Golf Hai Phong (Vu Yen, Hai Phong), the Vietnam Amateur Series competing for the T99 Cup will take place with three tournaments:
- Vietnam Amateur Open presented by T99 2022 – VAO 2022: 21 – 24/07/2022.
- Vietnam Ladies Amateur Open presented by T99 2022 – VLAO: 21 – 23/07/2022.
- Vietnam Junior Open presented by T99 2022 – VJO 2022: 29 – 31/07/2022.
After a year’s absence due to the global pandemic, VAO – VLAO – VJO is ready to return with a whole new look. With the message “Your Energy – Our Festival”, the Vietnam Amateur Series competing for the T99 Cup will bring exciting summer breath, exciting competitions and lots of interesting activities.
This year, a number of competition rules were renewed. According to the regulations of the organizers, the athlete’s Handicap index (HCP Index) level will be lower than that of 2020, specifically as follows: For male athletes, the maximum HCP Index is 9.0, for female athletes, the maximum HCP Index is 9.0. 15.0.
With the participation of golfers from countries in Southeast Asia, Vietnamese athletes will have the opportunity to compete, brush up on expertise and improve their skills. As expected, there will be about 120 male athletes, 40 female athletes and 120 young athletes will attend.
Athletes participating in VAO 2022 as well as VLAO 2022 will have to pass the cut line after 36 holes to win the right to continue to the final rounds. While the Young athletes participating in VJO 2022 will compete continuously for 3 days, no cut will be applied.
Unlike previous years, this year VAO and VLAO will only award the championship trophy to the athlete with the best performance in the tournament (regardless of Vietnam or abroad). The winners will be exempted from entry fees for the following year.
